Our group in Columbus is unique as we are a satellite group of Capoeira Brasil headquarted in Los Angeles CA. We train under the curriculum, support, and guidance provided by Mestre Tuzinho. For registration, please contact us!

OUR INSTRUCTORS

Brasil brings years of capoeira experience since his childhood, starting capoeira in Iguatu, Ceará, Brazil in 2002. He has been an advocate of promoting diversity, acceptance, investiment in culture through capoeira. After joining Grupo Capoeira Brasil in 2019, he became a value core member in the development of Capoeira in Columbus, OH. In addition to capoeira, Brasil works as a electrical-controls manager for JBT Corporation and also enjoys percussion instruments and a lot of samba/pagode.

With over 35 years of martial arts experience in Okinawan, Filipino, Thai, Indonisian and American Sport/Combative Martial Arts became an official student of Capoeira in winter of 2018. He has earned bronze, silver and gold medals in various stick fighting and karate competitions such as Arnolds Sports Classic, Battle of Columbus, Buffalo – Niagara Laban Laro, & US Capitol Classics in Washington DC. Taking on the challenge of being a student and leader in helping maintain the development of Capoeira in Columbus OH and growing CBOH across the city.
